 The acquisition of permits for the transport of waste in Italy


We have been in business since January 2010 when we started issuing permits for waste haulage in Italy to foreign haulage companies.


We started with hard-copy registrations of haulage companies in 2010, and in 2014 we were one of the first companies that switched to electronic entry of registrations for acquisition of new permits for waste haulage and pre-existing amendments into 'Albo gestori ambientali'.


Throughout the years we gained sufficient experience to help you acquire a waste haulage permit in Italy as quickly as possible, as we are very familiar with the documents that need to be attached to applications. Therefore the applications we submit are complete, which eliminates unnecessary waiting times caused by erroneous data entries into Alba portal or missing documents.


We are very pleased to get new customers by recommendations of our existing customers, as this means that our existing customers are happy with our services.



Legislation


All foreign haulage companies that are transporting waste in Italy as an import, export or merely a transit, must have a permit for waste haulage called 'Albo'.


The permit needs to be acquired via an environmental management department of chamber of commerce i.e. 'External link opens in new tab or windowAlbo gestori ambientali' in Italy.

Important notice regarding the submission of the necessary documentation for the regular registration within category 6 - from 15 October 2016


ALL DOCUMENTS LISTED BELOW SHOULD FIRST BE LEGALIZED (APOSTILLE) AND THEN TRANSLATED INTO ITALIAN!!

In accordance with paragraph 3, article 33, the documents written in a foreign language should be accompanied by a translation into Italian, certified by a competent diplomatic or consular representing body or a certified court interpreter.



We are offering the following:


We help haulage companies already registered in 'Albo gestori ambientali' in Bolzano or any other chamber of commerce with updating the existing waste haulage permit.
From 1 July 2015 all changes such as a purchase or sale of a lorry, an amendment of company address, an addition or deletion of waste that you wish to haul, have to be entered via the online portal, as hard-copy submissions are no longer accepted.

All who have already been registered before 15 October 2016 are now required to renew their applications no later than 13 February 2017. After this date, your current permit will no longer be valid and you will be automatically deleted from the system.


Apart from portal registration we are also offering 'domicilio' to all new haulage companies registering in 'Albo gestori ambientali' for the first time. This is a secondary company address that needs to be entered when submitting an application. The address has to be in Italy, namely in the region you are registering in.

All who have already been registered are also required to obtain an address in Italy as a secondary office, business address or PEC email (Certified Email).

How to acquire a waste haulage permit in Italy?

Regarding the permit for the transport of waste, which you have obtained at “Albo gestori ambientali” through the Chambers of Commerce in Bolzano, Trieste, Venice, Milan, etc., we hereby inform you that a new resolution entered into force on 15 October 2016, which brought quite a few novelties.

 

You are now required to renew the application you submitted at the beginning by handing in new documents – which have to be translated into Italian by a certified court interpreter – and providing new information regarding the vehicles already registered.

 

New vehicles cannot be registered until the old application is renewed.

 

All who have already been registered before 15 October 2016 are now required to renew their applications no later than 13 February 2017. After this date, your current permit will no longer be valid and you will be automatically deleted from the system.
